the armory show / art / not art

1

I went the Armory show today. 5 hours of being inspired, infuriated and depressed (not particularly in that order) by what I saw.
I could have showed you things I liked, or things I hated, but I instead thought we could play a little game, Art/Not Art. I'll show you a picture, and you tell me whether it is art, or not. I will have the answers below....

  1. You know how you always hear about how professional wine tasters won't take the challenge where they have to do a blindfold test of which is the 3 Buck Chuck and which is the 100 year old vintage Vin de Bourgogne? That's me and your little "quiz". I refuse to reveal how little I know about something I pretend to know a lot about. So there!

  2. Aw come on! It's fun! I would miserably fail my own quiz if I didn't already know the answers!

  3. I could have sworn those vacuums were Felix Gonzalez Torres.

  4. But, wait, the "nos" you didn't find at the show, right?

Well, I got seven wrong. Not too bad!
