zaharah schatz lamp

I recently traded someone for this lamp. I have always loved it, but they are a little hard to find.... It won an honorable mention in MoMA's 1951 Low-Cost Lighting Competition. It was manufactured by Heifetz Manufacturing Company. I love indirect lighting, and this is such a clever solution for a table lamp. Floor lamps usually just bounce the direct light off a ceiling or wall, but table lamps are at a disadvantage due to their height.  Here she creates her own reflector, almost like a photographer uses a Lastolite reflector. A cool, practical, and simple solution that looks amazing too. Greta Grossman uses the same principle in her series of "Cobra" lamps. Those are great too,  I should track one down....
