picasso in his studio villa "la californie"

I found the book
"The Private World of Picasso"
in my Southern library,
the photos by David Douglas Duncan
are amazing, and his studio,

not so shabby....

I LOVE that ceramic,
reminds me of Jouve's figural work.

which is what I think is so great.)

Don't worry, he won't be long....

  1. There are some very similar photos in the children's book, The Boy Who Bit Picasso (one of my kids' favorites). You might like it as well.

  6. Enchanted by the notion of a Villa-in-the-South studio. Just imagine the freedom there, your greatest stress being that first mark on the canvas or which version of an Owl will creep to mind today, to be rendered in moist clay. I'm there, brother Picasso. Where can I get a goat and an olive tree in Chicago? The jangling keys to my garage studio will do.
