Well,
shit happens when artists design furniture,
sometimes good, some times bad.
Sometimes so bad it is good!
I'm just going to focus on the first and last examples,
because we have all seen enough bad

1) wow awesome/depressing about the Lucas Samaras.
ReplyDelete2) that Oldenberg showcase showdown reminds me of Robert Melee. in a good way. He did a friend's bar in his Op/faux woodgrain. sweet.
Hey Mondo Blogo you be cool. I love how you featured my water table. I do know Guy de Cointet, but who Is the guy with the power?????
ReplyDeleteGiuseppe Panza di Biumo!
ReplyDeleteThe Robert Wilson side chair (1982) was commissioned by a friend of mine. Its only one part of an entire dining set/ room by Wilson. As a whole it is pretty awesome. Have you seen the entire room? There have been partial views published in Vogue and in Duane's Mark Hampton book. I think the total environment has to be taken into consideration with custom furniture, but alas- design is subjective.
