Charles Henry Ford

I knew a bit about Charles Henry Ford,
but most from seeing his name in the biographies of other more well known artists.
Charlie hung with a very heavy crowd:
Man Ray, Peggy Guggenheim, Paul Bowles, Gertrude Stein, Pavel Tchelitchew (his life partner)
(More on Pavel later....)
George Platt Lynes, Lincoln Kirstein, Orson Wells. George Balanchine, E.E. Cummings,
Cecil Beaton, Leonor Fini, Salvador Dali, William Carlos Williams, Jean Cocteau and on and on and on and on.
I stumbled upon these silkscreens while at Sotheby's.
It was a mini-exhibition promoting the sale of Pavel's work in October from the estate
of CHF and his sister, Ruth Ford.
Interesting work, and really a great little exhibit.
I highly reccomend it.
