chandigarh kids

Fun!
I'd like to be able to climb all over a
Pierre Jeanneret sculpture!

Dude, check out those box stool table things.
I bet the handles are different colors....

More of Pierre Jeanneret's amazing designs.

They seem to love to study outside in India.

Loving that wall, and the kids matt stool pad riser thingys.

I have no idea what this means....
But it is great looking.
It would make a good tattoo.

Outside again.
Stools please.

Outside, even though you have a brand spanking new building
behind you.
All of these photos are from 1956.

Look at all the amazing details in this one shot....

The stencils on the chairs are very cool.
Chairs are not bad either.

Oh! She looks pissed!
Wall is amazing.

I had to show this Pierre Jeanneret sculpture again,
so killer....

You can buy the book for $1000
here
which seems fitting the way the
has been going.
OR,
for
$53.21
Up to you,
but
believe you me,
 your friends will be
WAY
more impressed if you
pay the
$1000....

rare and highly undesirable....

Today's fresh pick
from
"Marty The Picker"
is a set of 4 homemade
"Modern"
chairs
from "Home Craftsman" magazine of
January 1952.
They were
designed by Arthur Collani.
You see these every now and then,
but they usually look like they were made in a
home woodshop by a slightly drunken, stressed-out Dad,
who was in the "shop" more to
drink beer and
get away from the kid and the Misses
than to produce a nice piece of furniture.
But these are surprisingly well-made,
nice quality plywood
(that was actually sanded!)
with a
cool black cerused finish.
Too bad nobody but me cares!
But somebody has to...
might as well be me.
