4 pieces of scrap wood and a name....

With the 20% buyers premium,
this pile of scrap wood
assembled by Isamu Noguchi
in 1970
brought a staggering
 today at Wright.
The estimate was $3,000-$5,000.
Bravo Boys, Bravo!
As we say here in NYC,
"Un fuggin' believable...."

  1. Wow your title nailed it - this is so boggling in my world

  2. it just shows again the 1% laughs at us really loud

  3. Well, I have to admit that when I went through the Wright catalogue a few weeks ago this was in my top 5 favorite things, but this is nutso. I don't have 3 to 5 thousand to begin with, but I must admit I did like it enough to imagine where I might put it in my house. I guess a lot of people with a lot more money than me like it lot more than I do. Nick triumphs once again at inadvertently picking out the most expensive thing in the room! It is a depressing skill.
