tanguy or calder tonight? peggy will do both....



"On the night of October 20, 1942, 
Peggy Guggenheim 
held the inaugural opening of 
Art of This Century.
For the event, 
Peggy wore 
'one of my Tanguy earrings and one made by Calder, 
in order to show my impartiality between 
Surrealist and abstract art'"

    I have never seen the Tanguy close up. Who would not want a cabochon surrealist!
